drat, no baby
After a sleepless night of contractions, I thought I might get to have a baby today. NOPE. They were just teasing me and stopped as the sun was coming up. I had a sono on Monday and she is already 7 lbs. 1 oz., so I’m really hoping we don’t go past our Oct. 13th due date!!
back to the drawing board
I’m going to be re-arranging the blog again, just in case you drop by & it’s a mess! I wanted a wider posting area, but these background colors are just depressing – so I’m switching back to my old 4-column template.
the name game

After months of disagreeing searching, we finally have a name for Baby Girl! (For my bloggyworld friends – I’ll share her name here when she is born, and after that she’ll have a silly nickname like all the other kiddos.) Naming a baby is such a huge task. Our kids’ names are all a little uncommon, end in ‘a’ or ‘ah’, and have a biblical meaning (though they are not all names found in the Bible). That narrows the field of available names quite a bit!
I came across this list of Worst Baby Names compiled by ancestry.com. Keep in mind that these horrendous names are of real, documented people from the U.S. Census Reports!! They all sound like something from a crude Saturday Night Live skit.
Ghoul Nipple
Acne Fountain
Lust T. Castle
Mary A. Jerk
Ima Whore
Fanny Whiffer
Envy Burger
Mule E. McCart
Lard Mooney
Good Hell
Emma Royd
Noble Butt
Naught E. Bishop
Stud Duck
What’s the worst baby name you’ve ever heard?
third day on the tonight show
For all of my fellow Gomers out there, Third Day will be performing tonight on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. WooHoo!!!
that was not very fun

Our poor computer had a nasty virus for the past two weeks
( My computer genius brother was visiting for the 4th & fixed it right up
) I’ve missed everyone & have a lot of catching up to do!
blog cleaning
I’m changing things around a bit, just in case you drop by & things look a bit wonky
)
light at the end of the tunnel
I’ve finally gotten to the point where my good days out number my bad – so hopefully only another week or so of all-day sickness! I’ve missed interacting with all of you in bloggyworld. I haven’t even been able to think of anything to post with this foggy pregnant brain, but I hope to get back in the swing of things soon. Check back on Thursday for a little pregnancy humor. Thanks for sticking around!
counting the days
It’s amazing how quickly time passes when all you can do is make sure the couch doesn’t run away. I usually start feeling better around the 12 week mark, so hopefully I have less than three weeks of sickness left!
Here’s a helpful piece of info for nausea relief – papaya enzyme tablets. They are cheap and really work!
blah blah blah blah
That’s about all I have to say LOL. I don’t know what the deal is, but my brain is mush right now. I think I have overworked it lately – we are trying to get our house ready to sell, planning a youth group retreat, and I just started teaching two classes for our homeschool CO-OP. There’s no room left in there for brilliant blog posts. HA! Thankfully, things are slowing down a bit and I actually have some things to share with you in the coming days. I want to introduce you to our little friend Aaron, whom we sponsor through Compassion International, and let you know about some exciting things going on in bloggyworld through this organization. Stay tuned!
